Welcome to the 2018-19 Year!
Dear chess parents,
We'd like to extend a warm welcome to all our new and existing families to another exciting year of chess at NEST+m. Over the years, NEST+m has developed a strong chess program and we are proud to continue that tradition and continue to build and enhance the program. This year, thanks to the generosity of the PTA, we have added more resources to the middle grade program.
Attached you will find a description of the chess offerings for this year, and important FAQs. If you know of new families who are interested in chess, please ask them to reach out to any committee member and we can ensure that they are included in the distribution lists.
We are also putting together the logistics for the upcoming grade nationals in Orlando - team rooms, travel coaches, prep sessions with Giorgi etc. If your child will participate in the nationals, please update the tournament planner spreadsheet.
As always, please reach out to any of the committee members if you have any questions or any suggestions to improve the program.
We look forward to seeing you all at the first home tournament of the year on Sunday, November 18.
Best regards,
The NEST+m chess committee
