10/18/16 Right Move Tournament
Congratulations to Maya Nozaki for winning the U1000 section at The Right Move tournament this Sunday with a perfect score of 4:0!
Maya and Oliver Hua also led the 2-player NEST team to a 3rd place finish.
Dylan Ma was undefeated in the Open section with two wins and one draw, brought home the 3rd place trophy. Congratulations!
About The Right Move tournament:
Unlike most other chess tournaments, it's free. The venue is far from the school (Riverbank State Park at West 145th st) and it has no fancy things such as a team room or onsite registration, but it's worth the trip (and free!). They have various rated/unrated sections.
The tournament has been possible through tax-deductible donations and parent volunteers. Contact makoto.nozaki@gmail.com if you are willing to help.
