3/1/20 NEST+m Chess Tournament Results and Pics!

On March 1, 2020, over 60 NEST+m students participated in our Winter Chess Tournament.
The students had their games reviewed by our chess coaches, Giorgi and Tamar. Over 15 parent volunteers helped us raise funds to support the chess program from food sales (THANK YOU!).

Inaugural NEST+m Team Tournament Results and Pics!

On Feb 9th, NEST+m hosted its first scholastic team tournament.  Inspired by the US Amateur East Team tournament, 16 teams competed against one another for this fun event.  In addition to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place winners in each section, prizes for Best Team Spirit, Best School Team and Perfect Score were also awarded.

2020 Greater NYC Scholastic Chess Championship Results & Pics!

Thirty-five students from NEST+m participated in the "Cities" Championship on February 1 & 2, 2020. This was one of the biggest turnouts of the year for NEST+m. Thank you to our coaches Tamar, Tamaz and Ana and parent coordinator Natasha!

NEST+m Chess Goes to Disney...and wins 2 National Titles!


On December 12-15, 28 NEST+m students competed at the USCF 2019 National Grade Championship in Orlando, FL. Over 1700 scholastic players from around the United States competed! The team was led by coaches IM Giorgi Bakhtadze and GM Tamaz Gelashvilli.

NEST+m: National K-6 Blitz Champions!
Congratulations to Spencer Chin (7th place), Romir Mukherjee (13th place) Oliver Ma and Zachery Yim for taking 1st place!

3rd grade: National Champions—1st place team in the United States!

4th grade: 3rd place team in the United States!

New York State Girls Championships!

Congratulations to Isabella Zhu, who took 8th place in the K-3 Championship section at the 4th New York State Girls Championships at Columbia Grammar Prep School on Nov 23-24, 2019.

NEST+m tournament results updates!

Congratulations!

Sam Rahall (K) played his first tournament: the PS 41 Columbus Day event.
He emerged unbeaten from the No-Score (pre-K and K) section.



Albert Tsybulski (4th grade) played The Right Move Chess Foundation tournament and got 1st place in under 500 section. NESTm team got 2nd place in that section.
